From an Unpainted Form to a Long-Legged Mature Beauty: Behind the Birth of Elowen
At first, Elowen had no carefully styled short hair, no earrings, necklace, or high heels, and none of the composed, slightly aloof expression she displays before the camera.
She began as an unpainted form waiting to be studied.
Her full height of 158cm, outer leg length of 84cm, 54cm waist, and 90cm hips already defined her most basic body language. Yet measurements can only describe proportions; they cannot create a character on their own. We still had to decide where her face should sit between anime and realism, what kind of makeup could preserve the distinctive identity of the 2.5D head sculpt, and what clothing would ultimately turn her into the “long-legged mature beauty” we envisioned.
Elowen——also known as Hatsuka——gradually took shape through each of these choices.
From her factory state and bare-face evaluation to the presentation of her body proportions, makeup, hairstyle, wardrobe, and final scene photography, this behind-the-scenes account is not about a single finished image. It is about how she acquired her own character, step by step.
From a bare form to a poised 2.5D muse.
Everything Begins with the Bare-Face Stage
Study the Body First, Then Decide Who She Is
Before adding hair, makeup, and clothing, we first needed to establish what Elowen's body could express.
She uses the UNEEDOLL-158 (E) body, with a total height of 158cm including the head and a body height of 142cm. Her 35cm shoulder width creates a relatively narrow upper-body frame; an 82cm upper bust, 54cm waist, and 90cm hips form a clear bust-waist-hip transition; while an 84cm outer leg length and 77cm inseam make her legs the most striking element of her overall proportions.
These numbers are not the story itself, but they determine how that story can unfold.
If elaborate clothing concealed her waistline, Elowen's proportional advantage would be diminished. If the styling emphasized curves alone, she could lose the refinement expected of a 2.5D character. She needed a clearly feminine silhouette, an elongated visual center of gravity, and a mature presence that never feels forced.
The Proportional Foundation of the 158cm Body
Body model: UNEEDOLL-158 (E)
Total height with head: 158cm
Body height: 142cm
Shoulder width: 35cm
Upper bust: 82cm
Underbust: 62cm
Waist: 54cm
Hips: 90cm
Outer leg length: 84cm
Inseam: 77cm
Thigh circumference: 50cm
Calf circumference: 31cm
Within these proportions, the waistline and leg length perform the main visual work. The 54cm waist connects the upper bust to the hips, while the 84cm outer leg length carries the eye farther downward.
This is also why we later chose cropped clothing and high-heeled sandals: they do not manufacture new proportions, but allow the body's existing proportions to be seen in full.

A Bare Face Is Not Unfinished; It Is the Starting Point for Judgment
The bare-face stage allowed us to temporarily set clothing and scenery aside and examine the head sculpt itself.
Elowen uses a 2.5D head sculpt. It is neither a fully realistic portrait nor a flat anime face. Her features needed to retain the crisp contours of anime aesthetics while transitioning naturally enough to remain convincing under real-world lighting and in close-up shots.
The focus of the bare-face evaluation was therefore not “how to apply heavier makeup,” but which structures should be preserved and which details needed only subtle reinforcement. This factory footage shows Elowen before we began styling her.
Building a Face Between Anime and Reality
2.5D Is Not a Compromise, but a Boundary
Elowen's facial design needed to work at two viewing distances.
From afar, she should make the clear first impression of an anime character. Up close, her features, skin surface, and contour transitions must not appear overly flat.
Her facial expression therefore could not depend on a single exaggerated feature. The eyes, nose-to-lip proportions, jawline, makeup intensity, and hairline all needed to maintain the 2.5D balance together.
How a Deep Gaze Became the Visual Center
For the final look, we styled dark short hair to create a clean frame around her face. Wispy bangs soften the mature distance created by a fully exposed forehead, while a side hair clip keeps the short style from looking untidy.
The eye makeup strengthens the natural shape of her eyes without allowing color to overpower her features. Her lips remain soft, directing the gaze first to the eyes and then gradually toward the other facial details.
The result is the quiet confidence and composure associated with a mature beauty, while preserving the softness expected of a 2.5D image.
Skin Texture and Close-Up Presentation
To present Elowen's body details and skin texture more realistically, we designed a pink lingerie set that reveals her figure and fine details while remaining visually refined. In the resulting scene images, the skin surface appears even and soft under the light.
Why This Outfit Belongs to Elowen
Between Pink Lace and Denim Shorts
In the final scene, Elowen wears a pink lace top with light-blue denim shorts.
The two pieces come from different visual contexts: lace is delicate and soft, with a refined closeness to the body, while denim shorts are more relaxed and familiar as everyday clothing. Together, they neither push Elowen toward overly formal eveningwear nor reduce her to an ordinary at-home image without character.
We wanted users to feel a stronger emotional connection with her. Imagine that she has just returned from an outing and is relaxing in her private space while still keeping her own look and rhythm. Is that not something wonderful—or perhaps an unexpected moment of happiness?
How the Outfit Design Responds to the E-Cup Curves
The E-cup body has an 82cm upper bust and a 62cm underbust. The pink lace top follows the contours of the upper body, drawing visual focus to the area between the bust, shoulders, and neck. A black neck strap creates a higher horizontal boundary, giving the upper body clearer structure.
The denim shorts sit high at the waist and hips without concealing the transition between the 54cm waist and 90cm hips. A measured amount of exposed skin between the top and shorts makes the waistline the connecting point between upper and lower proportions.
The outfit does not create Elowen's curves.
It simply makes her existing body proportions easy to read.
High Heels Complete the Final Line of Her Long Legs
Elowen has an outer leg length of 84cm and an inseam of 77cm. In the scene, her crossed seated pose extends the line of her legs from the hems of the shorts all the way to her feet.
High-heeled sandals minimize coverage across the instep. Their slender straps and ankle bands preserve an open feeling at the ends of the legs, so the eye does not stop abruptly at a heavy shoe.
Pose Matters More Than Clothing
The same outfit can express an entirely different character when the pose changes.
Elowen does not adopt a tense, rigid display pose. She reclines into the set with one hand near her face and both legs extending toward the foreground. This makes her long-legged proportions part of the composition while preserving the composure of a mature character.
She does not need exaggerated movements to prove her presence.
She simply sits there, knowing that eyes will settle on her. And this is how she appears to you.
